Research-Supported Benefits:

Supports Longevity.  Apigenin has been shown to inhibit CD38, a harmful enzyme that decreases NAD+ levels. Inhibition of CD38 helps keep NAD+ levels stable to support healthy aging processes and reduce the risk of premature aging. (1,2)

Provides Antioxidant Benefits. The aging process and risk of age-related health issues can be accelerated by free radicals. Antioxidants are a way to help curb free-radical activity. Apigenin’s antioxidant properties have been proven to fight free-radical damage, tackle oxidative stress, reduce signs of premature aging and reduce the risk of age-related health concerns. (3)

Promotes Heart Health. Aging can cause changes to heart function and blood vessels. In fact, adults over the age of 65 are more likely to suffer from a heart event compared to younger people. The most common sign of heart health aging is a change to the arteries, which can become stiff, harden and fill with fat deposits leading to high blood pressure.  Apigenin can help decrease certain heart health blood markers, reduce blood pressure and improve blood circulation. (4)

Enhances Sleep Quality. Poor sleep quality is associated with accelerated aging. Research indicates that apigenin has a positive effect on sleep. (5,6)

Supports Brain Health. With aging comes symptoms of brain decline such as impaired memory. Apigenin helps protect the brain from damage caused by oxidative stress, which can lead to a decline in cognitive function. Apigenin may increase cognitive function, improve memory formation and enhance overall mental clarity. (7)

Supports Mood. Studies have shown that apigenin can help reduce feelings of worry, overwhelm, and stress, resulting in improved mood. (8)

Aids in Testosterone Maintenance. Apigenin may support healthy testosterone levels and prevent the decrease in testosterone commonly seen in aging males. (9)

  • As you age, levels of NAD+, a key nutrient in the body, naturally declines at a rate of 1% per year. Reduced levels of NAD+ contribute to a variety of age-related health concerns including impaired heart health, reduced energy and cognitive decline. Additionally, inflammation, often from unhealthy lifestyle factors, triggers the production of the enzyme CD38, which suppresses NAD+ levels. This further accelerates premature aging and age-related health concerns. Apigenin is proven to help interfere with these processes, supporting overall health and longevity.

  • Natural apigenin is the purest form of apigenin and provides longevity and health-supporting benefits.

  • Organic parsley powder promotes the full-spectrum benefits of apigenin, enhancing efficacy due to the naturally containing apigenin co-factors it contains.

  • Piperine is added to enhance the absorption of the apigenin. Increased absorption can translate into increased efficacy of the product.
Unique Formulation. Compared to the majority of apigenin products on the market that contain only one ingredient, we included natural apigenin, organic parsley powder and piperine. This combination provides a variety of benefits to support the health needs of those over the age of 40, as well as enhance the absorption of the product.

Full-Spectrum Apigenin. Other apigenin products on the market often contain the isolated form of apigenin. This lower-quality version only provides 1-2 health benefits. ProHealth’s Full Spectrum Apigenin contains full-spectrum apigenin to support numerous areas of health and aging. Full spectrum means the entire plant and the full range of flavonoids were used.

Natural Apigenin. The majority of products on the market contain the synthetic version of apigenin. ProHealth’s Full Spectrum Apigenin contains natural apigenin for the highest-quality, most natural version.

Organic Parsley Powder. ProHealth’s Full Spectrum Apigenin contains 700 mg of organic parsley powder, a natural source of apigenin and other co-factors that enhance the biological effects of apigenin.

Better Dosing. Compared to the majority of products on the market with lower doses, Full Spectrum Apigenin contains dosing supported by research: 500 mg natural apigenin, 700 mg organic parsley powder and 7 mg piperine.

Quality-Manufacturing Practices. All of our products are manufactured in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility.

Third-Party Tested in the USA. Every batch is third-party tested in US laboratories to ensure the highest quality, purity and potency. Certificates of Analysis are available.

Possibly good

Theoretically this should help with NAD levels so I will continue taking it but unless you can actually measure those levels before and after there's no way for me to know that benefit and other benefits

Frequently asked questions

Yes, apigenin increases NAD+ levels by reducing the activity of the CD38 enzyme, which decreases NAD+.
We recommend taking 2 capsules daily, preferably with a healthy fat-containing meal.
